Amanda Nixon, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 24 years of healthcare experience across neurosurgery, labor and delivery, women’s health, home healthcare, primary and urgent care, and perioperative nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salisbury University in 2002 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2021.
Through her clinical work and continued advanced training, Amanda has increasingly specialized in hormone and metabolic health, with a focus on hormone replacement therapy, thyroid optimization, medical weight management, peptide therapy, and integrative wellness. Her approach blends evidence-informed medical care with a whole-person perspective, recognizing the connections between hormones, metabolism, thyroid function, lifestyle, stress, and emotional well-being.
Amanda is also a certified Hypno-Breathwork® Facilitator and Reiki Level I practitioner, incorporating mind-body and somatic principles into her broader wellness philosophy. She founded Maryland Green Consultants LLC in 2023 and continues to expand her integrative practice through Alchemy Wellness. Amanda is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Cannabis Nurses Association, the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, and the Maryland Society of Integrative Medicine. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys yoga, hiking, cooking, spending time in nature, and being with her family.
